In most places adults can own decorative swords, but the rules differ by country, state and city, especially for carrying one in public or taking it to an event. Please check your local laws before you order, and keep the sword in its case or box when you move it. This is general information, not legal advice. Our steel swords are for adult collectors.

Our steel swords are made for display and cosplay. Each product page states the blade edge under its specifications, and our handmade katanas are listed with a blunt edge. If a page doesn't say, email us at info@theanimesupply.com before you order and we'll tell you.

Carbon steel is the steel the blade is made from, which is heavier and sturdier than the wood, plastic or PU used for most cosplay props. "Full tang" means the steel of the blade runs all the way down through the handle in one piece, rather than stopping at the guard. Each page lists whether its blade is full tang.

Each sword is a replica of a specific character's sword, named in the product title, with that character's guard, handle wrap and scabbard colours. Sizes are listed on the page: most of our handmade katanas are 104cm overall with a 69cm blade.

Carbon steel can rust if it's left damp. Wipe the blade with a soft dry cloth after handling, keep a light coat of oil on it, and store it in its scabbard somewhere dry, away from heaters and direct sun. Handle the blade by the grip, not the steel, so fingerprints don't mark it.

Shipping is free worldwide and usually takes 2–5 business weeks. Many of our swords are handmade to order, and orders outside the US can take longer because of customs. You can follow your order any time from Track Order in the menu. The swords ship in a carton box lined with foam.
